The only way to know your HIV status is by getting tested. Getting tested in person or by using an HIV self-testing kit is the first step in making decisions about your HIV prevention or treatment. If you test negative, PrEP and other prevention tools can reduce your risk of acquiring HIV.

PrEP Initiation
Pre-exposure prophylaxis(or PrEP) is medicine taken to prevent getting HIV. It is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed. PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99%, and reduces the risk of getting HIV from injection drug use by at least 74%
